About Rob Goldman

Following a rewarding career as an advertising and magazine photographer, I turned my passions toward socially motivated art, education, and community building. I discovered the transformative power of teaching, and teaching became transformative for me. I found the art of empowerment more rewarding than any high-paying, high-profile commercial shoot I’d ever been assigned.

 

I now create photography-based social impact art projects for cities, museums, colleges, and schools. My “IMatter” Project was featured on National Public Radio, which led to two TEDx Talks. I have also enjoyed the sponsorship of Panasonic Corporation, who awarded my Shooting from the Heart® workshop in Tuscany, Italy as Grand Prize for their international Photography contest.
 

My photographs have been celebrated in gallery exhibitions and national magazines including Cosmopolitan, Time, Brides and Mademoiselle. My images have also appeared in ads for Club Med, Microsoft, AT&T, Marriott, Ritz Carlton, Anheuser-Busch and Seagrams, to name a few. I hold a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts and a Bachelors Degree in Photography.

I split my time between New York's Hudson Valley and Costa Rica with my amazing wife, Elena.
